Reflect on what stopped you from approaching. Is today any different from any other day? There is no such thing as a bad day and there is no possible fucking way a bad day could get worse through approaching someone you think is attractive. Albeit she pulls out a gun and shoots you for saying hi. What stopped you was your own brain bullshitting yourself saying "nah, today isn't good, my brain doesn't have enough chemicals". Fuck that. Learn to approach when you're not feeling at your best because if you can do that, then you can approach EVERYDAY. FUCK tomorrow, here on the east coast we still have about 9 hours until its not socially acceptable to approach strangers on the street. Go out and redeem yourself. Also its not about building yourself up for the next day. Its about having the natural confidence to just not care. If you're free later today, just get your butt out there. Don't make it a decision to talk to someone, only decide to leave the house. Then work from there.

Make you feel bad? Yeh like thats going to help, if anything you will do worse beating yourself up about it in the way you are intending, by all means say "what the fuck was I thinking", and "after all Iev done to get here im going to give up now???!!" but make sure its motivational atleast and not just "Im a usless cunt" along with avoiding if possible. The best way to be able to approach without as much AA is to 1. Get in state, listen to music you like, sing it in the car 2. do something you like first to get you pumped 3. Eye contact game (works for me) 4. "power posing" google it, helps me quite abit 5. Stop giving a fuck! who cares if she talks to you for two seconds or turns her back on you straight away, shes missing out on a good time and you dont have anything to lose, only something to gain being less AA for next time you do it.

Your life won't change until YOU change it. Growing into the person you want to be isn't about mocking or shaming you for not reaching your goals. Nobody here who has actually overcome the social challenges we faced will shit on you. That fear you feel, we all know it well. You just gotta ignore it. You will fail. You will fail a lot. But I can say with certainty that I've failed more. Yet that is what enabled me to grow as a man. Let them reject you. Don't do it for them.

You may want to consider doing Good Looking Loser's AA program it's free and from what I can tell ramps you up slowly enough. I started today.
