Whenever I'm in a conversation with a group of people, especially girls, I find it really hard to talk. I feel relaxed and I'm usually not stressed or anything but I just can't come up with anything interesting to say at a moment's notice until it is too late.

Let me give you an example. Suppose I'm in a group of 5 people, 3 girls + 1 guy + me and we are chatting away. Whatever the conversation is about, the other guy will almost always respond with something witty, funny, and off-the-wall before I even have the chance to think about what was just said and come up with an interesting response. When I do come up with a response, it's too late and the moment is gone. This process repeats again and again such that I'm not actually talking at all. Thus, every girl seems to be attracted to the other guy and I'm pretty much ignored. If try not to focus on coming up with the best response, I usually end up always asking a question and saying something boring. Girls will usually acknowledge me but most of their attention is focused on the more entertaining guy. Again, I don't feel stressed or anything. I'm always calm and relaxed on the outside but fighting a battle inside in an attempt to come up with an attention-grabbing response quickly enough.

Do you guys have any tips because I think this is seriously hurting my game?
