Just got out of a marriage a week ago and have been lining up dates left and right to keep myself from pointless thinking.

When performing an action that has potentially negative consequences, just assume they already happened.

Just texted a girl that rejected a first date kiss "hey Malibu [nickname]! I know you're dying to see me again but I don't think I can do this weekend." I could be bitter or hoping she responds positively. Instead I made sure before I sent that message I was already expecting no response. When she responded positively I could only feel good about it.

Stopping a girl? Assume she'll keep walking, do it for the lolz. Giving a compliment? Assume she gets offended; any other response and you're exceeding expectations. Warm girl going unexpectedly cold? Always assume your latest time spent with them is your last! Life's short go find her.
