Heyo folks!

So I'm a chick who hangs out with six other boys in our group in college. We are all friends, and one of these dudes has his friends visit once a week and we head out for dinner. This week a new guy came and ho my gawd he was not only super attractive but good personality.

The plot thickens though, and I can tell my gay friend is also into the same dude. He's practically a brother to me, and usually I'd ask for his advice here, but it feels wrong when I know he is going to make advances. Where as he has dated multiple people in the past and is very outgoing, I have no experience with dating outside of asking out and getting rejected.

I have no issue talking to people, and have been told I'm fun to be around and what not. Where I get stuck is in the "lets be friends" rut, and I know I'm doing something wrong. What I think is flirting and statements of interest are clearly not conveying the idea.

My questions are: - tips for being flirting with this guy - how to go about it knowing my friend also is interested in this guy - how should i pace things, make it clear im interested from the get go instead of taking it slow?

Sorry this is long winded, also sorry if this breaks any rules Most of all thanks for any advice!
