Hokay, here we are again. Braving the rigors of people far, far more experienced in love and sex than I am!
I've been talking with a few friends (Thanks everyone on the IRC!) about how to approach in groups. I've only had success in cold-approaches on single girls (read: my ex) and I can put on my game most days as easily as a hat.
That said, however, groups have always intimidated me. Therefore, I've been trying to come up with a game plan in order to get dates from girls when they're within the safety of their girl and guy friends. From what I've been able to gather:
1) Approach and engage the entire group - Add value to the group and offer interesting conversation (weather, finals, painting are all good topics for myself, but welcome to hear more.)
2) Show IoIs to the girl/girls who genuinely interest me - As I learn about people in the group, I learn more about the girls I'm interested in. Open myself up a little, show that I can actually hold a conversation confidently.
3) Continue talking to everyone in the group (possibly show more interest in one girl?) - Don't let the group get bored, and don't derail the entire discussion past the initial topic. Try to slide in and contribute value. Overall, try to make people laugh, but don't be the clown. Be the comedian.
4) After a good amount of time (20-30 minutes) Announce that you need to go - However, ask girl that you're interested in whether or not she wants to keep in touch. Ask for her number. If I'm bold enough, ask her out on a date.
This is a very rough draft, and I would very, very much appreciate any kind of feedback or constructive criticism. If it sounds like I'm learning from an instruction manual, it's almost that exact case, heh.
Thanks in advance!
