Thanks for this. I often find failed FRs to be more insightful than successful ones. I wish there were more of them.

this is good thanks. all the lingo threw me off though. social proof? jalousy plot line? but thing that i will inevitably take into account

I think there are couple things I would've done different here. First I wouldn't have focused on the girl you initially invited right away, but I would have introduced my group to hers. It makes you look like a bit of a leader and her friends are not going to stand around awkwardly. Second, I'm not sure but it also seems that you moved all your attention to one other person, I would just make small talk with a couple of her friends instead. And last, you really need to search on here how to deal with an AMOG. This was not a good defense.
