I'd ask her more questions about herself (what she does for fun/in her down time - aside from polo, etc.) and ask how her and her friend know each other and a little about their history, what they do together (get the friend involved so she's not just standing there which shows some sort of value) etc.

I appreciate the ways you went about this, contrary to what many believe, corny is sometimes a valid approach. The honesty with how corny you are/will be with texts is also key. The goodbye hug seemed a bit much but she seemed positively receptive to the whole thing otherwise. Would like to know if she actually responds
