For high school, you need to have social status to get attention from girls.
You get social status from knowing a lot of people and being in a lot of groups or clubs. And when you are in those groups, I would recommend trying to be funny or, at least, the fun guy.
I wouldn't recommend trying to be funny in class because it can really piss off your teachers. It's rare that a kid can be funny in class and still be liked by his teachers. If you know a kid like that, then maybe use him as a model.

Then, you use your social status get to know the girls and start tying to progress a relationship from there.

I have a large group of friends from my school and other schools all over my town. I have a really good relationship with my teachers and generally I'm known as a funny guy. I can get to know girls deeply very quickly but from there I'm often friendzoned as I feel that my problem is not being sexual

Okay, that's a start, but you also should be one-on-one with girls in a date-like setting.
If you just trying to hook up with girls at parties without properly ask them out, then I think you found your problem.
Hooking up with girls at parties works for some guys, but it's not working for you. So, I would start spending the whole evening or afternoon alone with girls.
You could call it a date or not, but, it should feel like a date and you should be trying to escalate the physical intimacy. Like holding hands and then kissing.
Also, you may need to learn how to flirt with girls. Flirting is hard to describe, but you should know it when you see it.
And you should be constantly flirting with girls. It's okay to known as a "flirt". Girls love flirting even if it doesn't mean anything. And most of the time, it doesn't really mean anything, but occasionally it does have signal interest, especially if a girl is REALLY into it.
Regardless, it's essential to making girls see you as a potential bf.

Avoid anything about "PUA." Most of it is marketing hype. You're on the right track by working out and taking classes to better yourself. Make sure your clothes and grooming are in order. Then, start chatting people up. Simple stuff; after class, lock eye contact with someone and talk about something that happened in class. Right away you'll see which people you "click" with. And don't be frustrated if it takes a while or it doesn't happen right away; your world won't fall apart if you don't have a girl on your pole every day of the week.
