Quick question: on first approach, with a greeting (hey, what's up, etc) what are you doing with your hands?

I wave or just smile. If I'm being introduced I'll go for a handshake. If its a cold approach I handshake when I get her name.

If you're getting introduced in a line of people and they're all shaking hands before you, throw in a high five. It's a little different and you can really use it later on to open her when you've made your way around the party. If you've established that already and she happens to be on the shorter side, if she says something where you can reward her, put your hand up for a high five but put it pretty high up, just high enough that she might be able to reach it if she jumps. You can tell a girl's interest in you right away if she takes a leap.
