Yes it is

At it's core The Red Pill is a philosophy of seeking to see the world the way it really is. Strict adherence to any political ideology conflicts with such realism.

Feminism is one example of a political ideology which blinds people to reality; wrapping people in the "Matrix" style illusion of the modern feminist prerogative. It is in the process of failing because it does not meet the needs of most people in society.

Traditional (read Social/Religious) Conservatism is another example. Trad-cons refuse to recognize that modern society took shape in the face of the failure of their ideology. The introduction of new technologies like mass media and birth control made major elements of their social system unnecessary and unworkable. Starting in the late 1960s, like the first version of the Matrix, "No one would accept the program, entire crops were lost."

The Red Pill is often misidentified with the political right-wing because it advocates for a realistic accommodation of the dynamic of male dominance to female submission which seems to come naturally to most human beings. This is similar to some elements of Traditional Conservatism, but the underlying rationale is very different.

Similarly advocates of a MGTOW response to the realities of male disenfranchisement in modern society, which The Red Pill makes us face, often invoke libertarian policies and ideals associated with other elements of the political right-wing. However, strict libertarians also fail to recognize the realities of human nature; i.e. that we are social creates who naturally form into collectives and compete for social dominance.

Because Red Pill discussions are focused on gender dynamics the psuedo-right-wing positions of The Red Pill dominate the discourse and, unfortunately, draw in right-wingers who get the false impression that this is a place friendly to their ideology.

In reality the right-wing is, from a Red Pill perspective, the proverbial broken clock which is right twice a day. They wind-up on the right side of debates over feminism and gender relations, but that's an accident of their ideology. They are right for the wrong reasons.

If a Red Pill focus were applied to Health Care, just as an example, then it would wind up supporting state subsidized (and regulated) health care. It would have to because the bulk of the evidence comparing the objective performance of private/for profit health care systems vs. state subsidized systems shows that the state run systems massively out perform the privatized systems.

However, health care isn't an issue we're concerned with here. As I stated Red Pill discussions are focused on gender dynamics.

When I use "leftoid" it primarily refers to the tendency of left leaning people to base opinions on political correctness rather than reality, since reality is often far from nice. Especially when it comes to human biological diversity.

There is the ideal world of the leftoid, then there is the real world. The ideal world of the leftoid utopia genuinely sounds like a nice place. But it is a complete fantasy. It doesn't help to base policies on false premises and idealized realities.

I believe in state subsidised health care, I believe in state welfare (to a point, that's a whole other discussion though) and I believe that equality and freedom of choice in most matters should be sacrosanct.

Equality and freedom of choice are neither left nor right, and in fact the practical effect of many leftist policies is to perpetuate inequality and reduce freedom of choice. (Note that if by "equality" you mean equality of outcomes rather than equality of opportunity then that is indeed a leftist and anti-reality view which is directly opposed to the Red Pill axiom that individuals have different strengths, weaknesses, talents, and capabilities.)

State subsidized health care and state welfare are based on two premises: That people are not competent to make good decisions for themselves and thus must be forced to make the "right" decision by their betters, and that people are not inherently generous and thus the productive will not support the unproductive (or unfortunate) absent government intervention.

The first premise is directly opposed to Red Pill philosophy that each of us is responsible for the consequences of our own choices and that as adults it is up to each of us as individuals to make good choices or learn from bad ones.

The second premise is self-evidently false, since if there are enough people willing to help the poor that they can vote a welfare program into effect then those same people are enough to support (much more efficient) private charity.

This is a good and interesting question.

One answer is obviously reality is reality - devoid of any political belief system.

But a deeper answer might be that certain forms of modern feminism (and certain flavors of lefty ideology) have spun out of control into a never-never land.

I'm specifically thinking of the hippie era. Late 60s, early 70s you have a lot of crazy politics and lifestyle choices to accompany them. Dr. Drew has stated on Loveline that a lot of the fucked up childhoods and molestations are a direct result of this period. As any crazy behavior, lots of drugs were involved.

Another answer might be the absolute solipsism of much of feminist ideology. What I'm getting at here is how lesbian feminists claim their ideology is just as valid for a straight female. Dworkin's anti-male stance for instance. Is it any wonder a lesbian thinks men are the enemy? This solipsism is a new thing in philosophy, I think. "The personal is political" is a thumbnail version of this line of thought.

So in answer to your question, you sound like a moderate. I honestly think that most women who are also moderate would not have a problem with anything written on the TRP. It's only those on the far left (whose voices are somehow very loud) who would have a problem.

I think men in general have somehow got the notion that far left feminism is feminism (or bought by a large number of women) when that's not the case at all.

Compounding the problem, lots of women seem to think they're radical feminists but espouse ideas not at all far from the mainstream. I'm thinking of writers on sites like Jezebel here.

In many ways, stuff like that written on TRP is an over-intellectualized version of what fathers used to teach to sons. Thanks to single-motherhood, these traditional teachings have been lost (something people in the PUA community say about their work sometimes). So at best, TRP is moderate politically - no wonder you like it.

I'd say that with the distinct anti-feminist anti-PC bent of this place, on a Nolan Chart it would fall to the right. But the honest and true right that you dont see on TV because of pandering to religious groups. Its more like the right that happens behind closed doors, Good Old Boys Club style, with women and drink. You catch a glimpse of it now and then in certain scandals.
