For me this usually happens because of being off in school for months at a time. My method is radio silence until the time is appropriate. Then game them all over again like new. This does a few things:

gives her a chance to miss you. Like "man what happened to that guy we used to talk/flirt all the time, I miss the attention"
Gives you a chance for self improvement unhindered by thoughts of the chase. So next time you see her she'll notice your growth/maturity
minimizes the chances of you being friendzone'd by her by trying to maintain "long term game" which is basically friendship.

With that being said, I have other friends who SWEAR by the long game, planting seeds and reaping the harvest in due season. But that's not for me. Try to develop whatever your own style is and see what works.
