I'm going through this. It was a fluke that we started dating; my son loved the crap out of her, and pretty much the perfect girl in every other way. Smart, gorgeous, loved sex and tolerated my introversion. Everything was going fantastic until I hit a rough spot, and had to cut ties.
So far I'm just hoping I forget about her by forcing my mind elsewhere. It sucks, though.

How did it end? Did she like you as just friends or she was interested in dating? Either way stop thinking she's your dream girl. You can't be thinking about girls like that until at the very least you've had sex with them. In essence, you've already fucked up because you started idolizing her and clearly it's poisoning your mind. What I recommend, is you tell me how you lost her, how far you've escalated with her and how did you meet her. If you know for sure that it's over then delete her number and erase it from your recents so you can't get it back. Also delete her facebook, next is to start approaching more girls

We met on okcupid, then started dating and having sex. We both agreed to take things slowly emotionally because neither of us are the relationship type. However she said she had a different interest in me and wanted to see where it went.
There could have been a lot of reasons why I lost her. She was going through a really stressful time, I was letting myself get too attached, I started becoming too boyfriend like and she told me a few times toward the end I was acting too much like a boyfriend. After she said that I started to withdraw, slowly distancing myself and she apparently did the same. Replies to texts got more and more spaced out and eventually just stopped.
I dont want to idolize her because I know there are thousands of different women that are probably better, and I cant figure out why I have been in the first place. It's toxic and this behavior is totally unlike me. I've unfollwed her and hid her from every social media site I use and even then I cant get her out.
