The next time your with a girl and you feel attraction to her, don't disguise it, let it flow out of you via you body language and eye contact and voice. If you like something about her, give her a real compliment about it. Don't hide your feelings of desire, and it will be very clear that you are interested in being more than friends. It's riskier than dry boring conversation, for sure. But you've got to take risks, and put yourself out there.

If you can't continue the conversation, why not just stop talking? I don't mean all together though. Also, if you don't want to be her friend, why don't you tell her? You could work it into the conversation or wait till she calls you her friend, and say something like: no. I'm not looking to be "just" a friend. Say it in your own words, but I like to every now and then start off a message or statement with the word no, it reminds me to not do stupid bullshit that I don't want to do.
