One of the lessons I think that are important is that you should focus on yourself first above all others, especially women. Once you have the RP mindset and everything that it brings with it (working out, handling yourself, frame etc) you will see things differently, at least for me that's what happened. People will respond to you, women will especially. You give them what they really want without giving anything at all, just being a real man.

I don't think RP is anti-relationship or anti-LTR but more about you living within your own defined world. whether in a LTR or spinning plates, you always do what you want. You might want to be a role model for your kids or be the king of the house you can take the RP view on life and control it, make it what you want. Being free of others expectations and limits is one of the most freeing things I have ever felt. I am in control of my life now, people respect me and I have direction whereas before I was always seeking approval etc etc.

tl:dr RP isn't only about sex.

Then that is the direction that I will go in. I have always valued others before myself, and now I know I should no longer have that attitude. I guess I'm simply afraid of taking that leap because I don't want to leave behind who I am. I just need to tell myself instead of becoming someone new, I'm just becoming a better "me".

Based on what you're saying, you should read "No More Mr. Nice Guy" by Robert Glover

[–]mrdudemanguysir[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

No I have not. I'll take a look at it right now.

Edit: Ah, it's an entire book, not just an article. Well I shall still read it. Thank you for the recommendation.

If you've put other people before you, its a great resource

[–]Movonnow 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I've always been puting other people before me. I mean, not only my girlfriends, but my friends, my family...everyone. If that book can help me with that, I thank you in advance sir.

The problem for me is, I don't want to fuck any of these women. I look at them for what they really are and I want nothing to do with them.

This is a great place to start, seeing them for the silly creatures they are. But admit it, you do want to fuck a few of them, more than a few. As an older guy who did not sarge when I was young, this has been my greatest regret and actually has harmed my marriage and position in life. I'm playing catch-up now in my 30s because I didn't put in the "work" when I was your age. You need to become a boss with women, and the earlier the better. Forget about LTRs at your age. You will develop so much faster as a man if you spin plates. Comfort is an ambition killer.

Why do you want an LTR? What will committing to a girl do for you? All girls are like those you see around you. There are no unicorns, trust us. You will get LESS from women once you commit to them, not more, and I'm not just talking sex. Keep them hungry.

So there you are - you are in an enviable position: you have boatloads of time and women. Women should not be foremost in life, but you need to feel secure that you can lay a hottie anytime.

As a freshman guy, you have been at a slight disadvantage to older guys, but the year is about over. Take the summer to get in better shape, learn some useful skill (a language, programming, plumbing, whatever), and practice approaching and laying girls as a hobby - not your main focus. But do it. Admit it: you want them.

[–]mrdudemanguysir[S] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

You pointed it out, and made me realize it. Women are my main focus. That's why I have always desired/enjoyed LTRs; because I don't really know how to be happy on my own yet. I feel like I need to address this issue first, then maybe my views on these girls will change. Thank you.

[–]anymanusa 3 points3 points3 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Sure thing. We're all learning here. BTW, we're all counting on you to slay some teen poon this summer. Update us!

I'll be sure to update with any progress. It will take a lot of unlearning though.

I have read a few of his postings, it's definitely great stuff and really helping me become who I believe I want to become.

[–]anymanusa2 points 12 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

Read the book. Forget reddit for a few days. It will give a better result and more likely inspire action.

[–]phil_mcrevis 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Whoa. Didn't know there was a book. Definitely reading it starting today. Thanks

[–]fukewe 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

David deangelo's stuff, is all red pill and all about learning how to cultivate your own life so you enjoy it, without bending over for women or building your self worth on their valuitions of you. It's heavy self improvement stuff but it makes a huge difference. all his stuff is available on piratebay

[–]Movonnow 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Good realisation pal.

Let me know about any updates. I'm in a similar situation as you so I'm interested in how it's going for you.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

but I decided to really look through it without anyone else telling me what it is really about, and just wow

You've just proven that you are smarter than 99% of humanity.

What to do now?

  • Do you work out yet?

  • Do you eat clean yet?

  • Are you doing something yet to make sure you'll make a shitton of money later on?

  • Do you dress well?

Disregard bitches, acquire currency. Improve yourself in every way you can, and chicks will come. What you do with them is up to you.

Also, check out /r/darkenlightenment. Might redpill you on some other topics as well.

I've been reading PUA stuff for years now. I quit because they weren't preaching this sort of thing.

I've been looking for a place like TRP for years.

hurray !

[–]lillojohn -5 points-4 points-3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I found nothin really useful about improving.

[–]IWantWhatsReal 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Have you checked the recommended blogs yet? The rational male is the main source of RP truths you will get. Go there, read up all of "Best of year One". Chateau Heartiste is awesome as well.

I'm the kind of guy that only desires LTRs

No. You're a man and you want to fuck as many women as possible because it is in your DNA. What you want from LTRs are the "security" and the feeling of "Now I got her attracted, don't have to do anything", and possibly you still believe in that Disney idea we've been force-feed.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'll keep it simple. (KISS method is how I live).

  1. go to the gym. Lift. Don't skip leg day.
  2. Learn how to cook better if you have a kitchen. Women love good food. You love good food. Cooking is cheap and impressive.
  3. Lean approach game. If you can just go make small talk to any girl, it's half the battle.
  4. Take no bullshit from no hoe.

When in doubt: Ezekiel 25:17.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lift. Study. Improve thyself.

[–]bootdoc 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

At 19, you have not had several LTRs...........

Enjoy women for what they are and what they offer you.

[–]mrdudemanguysir[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I guess it depends on how you would like to define "long-term" but I stand behind my statement.

[–]bootdoc 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

This is not a PUA forum, rather red pill. Everything that follows is meant to be blunt, not derogatory.

Define Long Term.

You are 19. Benefit of the doubt, I will give you 5 years at most in which you were understanding what a relationship is.

If you were an emancipated minor at 16, had your own place, and she lived with you, I will give you credit for a three year relationship.

DO not confuse puppy love, teen age crushes, living at home, as LTRs. They are part of growing up.

You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't experience many different women. And experience does not just mean sex, rather, interacting with and realizing what traits you like and don't like.

You are also 19 and in college. You are still growing into the man you will be.

[–]mrdudemanguysir[S] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Then by that definition, no I haven't had any. So let me rephrase myself. So far in my experience, I honestly prefer to be committed to one girl that I have not only an physical, but an emotional connection with as well, rather than just sleep with girls and let the sex just be sex. I am not fulfilled by sex that is under the construct of ONSs or FWBs. So the question becomes this; I am at college and every girl I see desires this type of sex, so what am I to do?

[–]bootdoc 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Consider yourself lucky you understand the rules.

Do not suffer from oneitis.

Understand that all beautiful things end. Every relationship ends- some sooner, some later. Even in the Disney scenario of happily ever after, one partner dies before the other (usually).

Read the sidebar.

Understand what value you are able to offer women. Honestly look at yourself and determine if you are worth a woman's commitment.

ONS and FWB can teach you that women are more alike than you realize.

You have left one reality and entered another. It does not mean it will be more pleasant.

Welcome! Read The Rational Male on Plate Theory if that is what you want to do. 19 is a great place to start!
