When to compliment to avoid pedestal?

The best time, is a time when you really feel it... when it first occurs to you. Let's say you're talking about whatever. And you're almost ignoring her because you're noticing even more how cute she is. You can let that thought out "You know you're really cute. You've got nice eyes nice hair, anyways you ...?". And because you let it out in a moment where you were really feeling it, she will really feel it too. Basically say it when you really feel it, so it can come out genuine.

It won't seem genuine if you say it more out of strategy than feeling. It has to be said almost impulsively, your just letting out what naturally comes to the forefront of your mind in the moment.

That's half the story to making it well received and not putting her on a pedastal, the other half is saying it with outcome independence. You need to come from not a position of "I like her, I hope she likes me back" you need to come from a position of soley "I like her." The way that difference is shown is really through the tone. The tone will be a bit more assertive and confident because when you strip away the element of being concerned, what you have left is a statement of fact. Seriously, it's nothing but a fact.

Say "one plus one is two" out loud a couple times. The tone you just had is one that has the level of certainty you need when talking to a girl. And you can have the same amount of certainty if you just say things to her because you want to. I mean, it makes sense, the compliment you wanna give is a fact. You're as sure she looks nice in that dress in that dress, as you are sure one plus one is two.

Compliment when the thought comes to the forefront of your mind, don't worry about her reaction before during or after, speak with conviction and certainty when you say it.

You don't compliment her appearance or looks at all. You would not be the first or last person to tell her that she is hot or sexy. Avoid compliments with looks.

Any time is good. It's for form of the compliment that puts her on a pedestal.

Bad:

"You are so pretty". Pretty much anything with the word "so" in it is right out.

"you are amazingly beautiful". Not unless you are already undressing her. Then, fine.

Anything that just says "you are really attractive", with no other content, puts her up there.

Anything that implies she's too good for you is the very definition of putting her on a pedestal.

Good:

Things specific to her: "You have a beautiful voice". "I like the way you move in those heels.". "You have a really happy smile".

Make her feel you appreciate her, specifically, is great. Calling her generically attractive will move her away.

Complimenting is fine if 1. You don't over do it 2. Make it specific don't just say empty complements it sounds fake
