So this is my first post here so it might be a little bit scarce on rp knowledge. But I've been thinking about all the stuff that I've read here and I've come to a rather strange conclusion of sorts. You see, I've found that one of the best ways to transition from a bp beta to a rp alpha is to look at dogs. Ever since I've been little we've had dogs in my family. Namely two breeds: chihuahuas and labs. Two polarising extremes of a species; each with a different purpose in mind. Now while I like chihuahuas (I think they are quite funny actually) I've always felt a bit disgruntled by their personality tbh. They don't know how to do anything else other than try to please their masters. Whenever other dogs come inside the house they get very nervous. Whenever their masters leave the house, they become sad, will stop eating and otherwise act extremely paranoid. When taking them out for a walk they won't stray too far from their master's side. Labs, on the other hand, while extremely loyal, seem to have more of a mind of their own. They will miss their owners when they leave, sure, but its nowhere near as upsetting for them as it is for chihuahuas. On the other hand, when out for a walk, they will do their own thing: explore the world around them at their leisure. When other dogs show up they will either act friendly, or demonstrate immediately that they are not to be fucked with. So next time I take a decision in my life I ask myself: "do you want to be a lab, or a chihuahua?" What do you guys think?
