I wouldn't have told her. If you viewed what happened as a mistake, then deal with it yourself and avoid repeating it in the future.

I can't think of one good reason to tell her. Maybe she tries to structure it as being "open with her" and "we have to share everything" but at the end of the day some things are better left unsaid. I'm sure she has secrets of her own.
