I dont think that they are "a farce" and I dont think that making blanket statements like that is anything that TRP should be supporting.

Politics dont really have much to do with TRP, and I personally suggest we keep them separate. Except for mens rights, feminist shit, etc etc.

That being said, I dont feel that socialism is REALISTIC not necessarily a "farce"...

TRP is about realism, accepting the world around you and not rejecting it because it's scary. Any ideology that is subject to wanting to change people so that society works is flawed. This is true if you want pure capitalism without leeches, or pure anarchist communism where there is no rule of law and people are just altruistically generous to their neighbors by nature and always have what is best for the group in mind. Obviously neither of these can ever happen because they're contrary to human nature.

On the other hand, self interest based capitalism DOES make sense, as it is correctly modeled on real human instinct and not ideology. It doesn't matter what the result of any political, economic or other ideological system will be if it's not based on reality and fact. If the goal is to change the world, then it's infantile. Change yourself, give yourself the goal of succeeding in the world that exists regardless of what that is, and you are a step ahead of everyone else.

Note, this doesn't mean that you don't appear to subscribe to any ideology. Ideologues have tremendous power because people feel good when they ascribe to the possibility of the outcome promised. If you live in China, for example, you don't fight communism, and you don't personally embrace communism, either. You accept communism as the reality and you support what you have to in order to achieve your goals.
