So yesterday I was dropping some books off at my library and it was really hot so I wanted something to drink so I saw a water fountain but I didn't have a water bottle and I wanted to drink while I was driving (lol). Basically I went to starbucks to get free water in a cup because it was on the way and I live in an area where every girl goes to starbucks, like there is never a time when you can walk in and you wont see a couple of teen chicks sitting or getting drinks. So there was a line and I waited and waited while some of the old people got their coffee and while I was waiting, a young beautiful 19 year old girl walked in with her mom. (I'm 18). So when they ordered coffee, they waited a few feet away from me. So I was just standing there and thinking about the things I was gonna do that day and this girl's mom had to use the restroom and the girl just stood there. Once I turned my head her direction, I quickly noticed that she was staring at me, so she took out her phone and pretended to text someone or she was checking instagram/twitter. So I turned away and in about 30 seconds I shifted her direction and she did it again. She was afraid of eye-contact and pulled out her phone after staring at me. God! This girl was absolutely stunning, she had perfect hair, nice touch of makeup, she had a nice outfit, and she was hot! Anyone could look at her and realize she wasn't a slut. So I decided to look away one more time and if it happens again, I would approach her and definitely at least get her number.

BUT!

Her mom walked out of the restroom and they quickly left to go the other direction and sit outside. I HAD THE PERFECT SHOT!!! and I LOST IT.

So I eventually got my water and left defeated. :(

What I learned - Take a risk...just do it, who cares if you fail, who else is interested in what you do or how you talk to a girl? The 65 year old grandma standing in the corner judging you? HELL NO. It's all about you and the girl, no one else is watching. When I was a lot younger, like 8 years old I did ballroom dancing and I saw a statue that had the caption "Dance Like No One Is Watching" it was confusing because it was one of the most competitive sports where literally EVERYONE is watching your moves.

Second, READING HER SIGNALS/SIGNS, you have to understand what she is trying to convey, girls are difficult like that, you never exactly know what she is thinking because chances are, she's confused about herself as well. If the girl even looks at you and there is eye contact for at least 2-3 seconds, it means she is interested in you. It might be that she finds you hot/cute, it might be that she's trying to guess your age, It might be that she wants to know why you're wearing the clothes you wear, idk, whatever. Bottom line is that you have to read the signals and make quick decisions.
