First, where you went wrong.

When she asked how things were with the girlfriend, you said "ok, but we're taking a break." Oops. Stick to the facts: we're not together. It's technically true, and it squashes all the followup nonsense.

Next, when you're making out and she says she wants to sleep with you, go for it! When she says she's not sure about your girlfriend, you say, "what girlfriend?" She'll follow up of course, so then you say, "I'm here, now. With you. Why are we talking about her?"

Now, as to what you do next... I'd say back off. Don't text her first. Don't call. When she reaches out, take some time to respond. Don't be so available and don't be so needy. If there's still any chance, she'll do a little work to keep in contact with you. And if she asks anything about the girlfriend, just say "yeah, that's over."
