I've known this friend for about a year now, as we are both dorming at the same college. I think she's pretty cute. We liked to banter with each other and I think she flirted with me at times.
This year, I rarely see her since she's in a different building and has different classes. I decided to get her # by asking a mutual friend to deliver a note that supposedly had class info in it.
The note said:
Hey (my friend), Here's my # (number). You should text me! :D
-TG_Super_Class
.
Just wondering what you all's opinion is on how this is looking. I'm going to need to go slow, it seems, and I haven't seen this person since last year and once walking by them. Any suggestions? The text convo is below:
.
They texted me back and the convo goes as so:
Her: Hey TG_Super_Class, it's me, I got the note
Me: Hey! So was my note convincing at first, or am I not so sneaky?
Her: my friend was fooled but I was pretty aware
Me: Darn, so close... Did you get stuck in the rain today?
Her: Nah, I brought my umbrella today, so I was good
Me: Good! Ugh, I still need to get an umbrella
2 DAYS LATER:
Me: Hey, how'd class registration go?
Her: Good, got all my classes last week, how about you?
Me: Me, too!
AFTER LUNCH, LIKE 4 HOURS OR SO:
Me: I just finished my midterm, we should hang out! When are you free?
Her: Ah, I can't today, I just [specific stuff] and now have class, sorry :(
Me: Darn, you seem busy today! Is there a better day for you?
Her: well, I'm busy most days, but myself and group of old friends hang in [building] on [day] mornings
