let her do the chasing. if she is interested in you she will make sure to show you. no need to ask her out again. if it doesn't work out who cares, you can probably just stay friends.

Agree 100%, and that was my mindset when I broke off contact, but I feel like she could be showing interest now.
She's already a somewhat shy girl, and in addition to what I mentioned above, she's also been doing some "coincidental" touching on me, and mentioning fun-places we should check-out.
I feel like she's giving me signs right now, waiting to see if I man up and move our relationship from "really good friends" status, to "potential-lovers" status.
I feel like the only way to do that is give her the, "I'm taking you out on Friday" speel.

Nope, go have some fun. Some girls like to play games, especially when they know a guy likes her and does everything she wants in some way. If she wants something , let her do the chasing , dont make the same mistake again
