Hey guys. I'm currently traveling in North India, where the culture is fairly different. But I still managed to do a somewhat direct approach. There was a concert with traditional Indian music, and I saw this awfully cute Indian girl sitting in the crowd. I stared at her somewhat but she didn't reciprocate. After the concert everyone was just mingling and having food, and I was trying to work up the courage to talk to her. I had a picture of a saint I had gotten in one of the temples with some stuff written in Hindi, so when she was walking by I asked whether she could do me a favor and translate it. She agreed but couldn't tell me much more than it being religious poetry. After that I asked if she's from around here, she said yes but hurried away.

Now, I could have taken it as a sign of not wanting to continue the conversation and dropped it. But then I thought - assumptions suck, if you want to be sure of something you should ask.

So I approached her again and simply told her I couldn't take my eyes off her and wanted to get to know her. So we exchanged numbers and chatted a little, then me and my friends had to leave. After an hour or so she messaged me first on whatsapp.
