For example, on Thursday I went for a quick drink with a girl along the road (we're at uni living on campus) after we got talking a bit. But towards the end she looked a bit bored, and she hasn't talked to me since. Fair enough, right? Can't reel them all in. But all these girls I meet always feel the same and never seem to reciprocate. Some are different of course, and some of those you just won't be able to get a familiar conversational topic out of. But there are those out there that catch your eye and you fall a thousand times over for. Those rare commodities I have managed to find I only manage to enjoy for a short time. Those I get closer to I tend to rush and say things I don't mean.

But what am I doing wrong? My social skills aren't particularly up to scratch, but when I'm in the mood and with my type of person I can talk to them for hours. Growing up, I suppose I was quite awkward and isolated from the modern, social world, and I am still getting myself acquainted with it all. I have never been in a relationship and I am a virgin at 19, which isn't unheard of, of course, but the pressure and desire seems too much in this socially progressive society.
