I am a freshman in high school (bring on the down votes) and I am a member of the protected class of social outcasts. I have 6 main friends: four of us play way too many video games, and the other two are a walking music scholarship and an Aryan ideal with an eye for offensive jokes. Other than these four, I don't have many other friends of my own gender. However, I would consider myself friends with a few of the girls in my grade, and good friends with at least 5 or 6. Despite this, I often find myself the butt of jokes and rumours in my grade; the one going around at the moment is that I am dating a Czech who is a solid 5, and that's generous. I feel like there isn't anybody in my grade who would want to date me, and the 'girl friends' mainly see me as exactly that, a friend who is quite funny but wouldn't date. I would really like advice on what I could possibly do to change my image and perception among my classmates, and, frankly, get more friends.
