No. Acting aloof is a stupid game and it is manipulative. Think about how you want the relationship to be in the long term. Do you want a constant game or do you want something that is open, free, and respectful. Start off exactly as you want the relationship to be. Otherwise, it will just end in heartache.

A boy would try something like acting aloof to get the girl to like him. A real man will act however he wants to and if they connect then it happens, if not on to the next.

Being aloof works because your behavior states that you have nothing to prove to anyone. People will often skim over the things that are directly presented to them. When something is acting elusive and hard to get, however, people often automatically assume it is of higher value. It has to be personally sought out. It's a chase, instead of an offer. You're more more likely to purchase something you had to seek out yourself instead of something a salesperson shoved in your face.
