Which is better: mystery or certainty?

If you can't see a girl in a week, do you just not text her for a week or so you text her "I will see you next week". One is mystery, the other is certainty. Is it better to create an air of mystery where she is kept on her toes and doesn't know what's happening, or is it better to give her certainty so she doesn't give up and move on?
