Can anybody explain how approach/getting rejected often raises your SMV?

It doesnt raise your value. Its supposed to remove your approach anxiety which in turn make you better at approaching.

In a small community this is a dangerous tactic and should be reconsidered.

Id do trips out of town in the weekends to practice game.

approaching girls raises your value (as long as ur not being a creep) because seeing a guy talk to women, makes them think hes not afraid of women but also that hes approachable fun guy. Ive had girls approach me after seeing me talk to other girls(even if i got rejected)

The high SMV portion is the behavior behind a man who approaches women and can have conversation with them. It displays confidence. It's not about approaching and getting rejected as often as you can. It's about being courageous enough to take a risk and approach a woman you're interested in despite the anxiety you may feel and then correspondingly trying to see if the pieces fit for something short or longer term.

You do that through practice -- which is trying to have as many conversations with women as you can in any situation, bar, coffeeshop, classroom, grocery store, dinner parties, get-together, work, etc. It's a valuable skill to have and one that won't be gained by NOT attempting a conversation.
