This is actually creepy as fuck.

Every time she tries to leave him, he grabs her and keeps her there. I think that's a fairly threatening behavior, and wouldn't be surprised if she was a bit scared.

Also, it clearly didn't work, because she even lied to him at the end about not knowing which hotel she's staying in.

Ehh not exactly. Literally every aspect of his game seemed forced on his part. He didn't build enough comfort with her, wasn't receptive to his Kino in the beginning and came of waaaay to needy.
