Long story short, I matched with a girl on Tinder and moved it to texting. I told her we should go for a coffee that week, she said yes but rescheduled to the following week.

Now it's Sunday and she writes her exam tomorrow (which was the original hold-up). She hadn't responded to my one text during the week so I asked her if we're still going for coffee or if my success and athletic body scared her off. Here's the ensuing conversation.

No response since, and it's now 6 pm. It's obvious I should cut my losses, I'm just wondering what everyone thinks the best way to do this is while keeping your head held high (from her perspective):

  • Leave it (basically never text her again)
  • Courteous last text - Tell her that I understand that she's clearly not interested and to "let me know if she changes her mind :)"
  • Use humor - "omg your responses are so fast, slow down I can't keep up" (and then leave it or tell her to let me know if she changes her mind)

Always been curious but can't find a general consensus on this. Thoughts?

Edit: Yes, I know this has been ruined. I know I completely botched this by destroying the ever-so-fragile texting game by saying too much in a text and coming off as needy. Next time I'll remain completely aloof and mysterious and refrain from speaking my mind to women. Thanks everybody.

Edit 2: Bam.
