Hi, I'm reading DiCarlo escalation ladder. I don't understand how to brush and what's the excuse or purpose of doing that? Arm brushing is to be done upon the initial interaction. Am I supposed to just touch her arm with my finger and move it like drawing a line without reason?

What's the difference between caressing and brushing? If there's any gif or video to help to illustrate the movement, would be helpful.
