Don't shit where you eat. Also, girls you interact with will probably feel pressured to go out with you because you're technically "in a position of power" to them. So I'd say that's a negative, Iceman.

Better idea, use it as a chance to make small talk and give people ego boosts. Make jokes. Just be like a friend who knows their names and warmly greets them. Do it for guys and girls. I know I'd love it if my gym's front desk people were a bit more friendly.

Not only will you be doing your job better, you might have some girls linger and chat a bit longer. Then if you think there's something there, give it a shot. Way cooler than just chucking out date invites to every cute girl that walks in.

If in doubt, use it as a safe, easy way to practice chatting with strangers and then take that charisma elsewhere.
