Hey all,
So I attended a music festival this weekend and wanted to share some of the points that I took away. Basically, I haven't been cold approaching in a very long time and wanted to take the opportunity of a big music festival to get back into the groove. I honestly think that festivals are a perfect place to game for a lot of us hyperactive types, since everyone is typically really friendly and high energy, so it's a great opportunity to just be open and interactive and have fun with it. [Note: this means that your first priority should be to HAVE FUN, not game. The gaming will come if you're in your most natural state, enjoying the music and just immersing yourself in the surrounding energy.]
So the points are as follows:
Enter the area with high energy and the intent to interact with people. If you make eye contact with someone, high five them. Perfect way to start a conversation.
Dance. I don't care how shitty you are at it, the more you dance, the more positive energy you'll be sending out, which automatically makes for a positive impression on people. Alone, hop between groups, dance with girls who you're gaming. If you're THAT self conscious, find ways to get better at it - take classes, watch videos, anything.
You WILL get one or two people who will shut you down or reject you. Remember - They aren't reacting to you, they are projecting their own negative energy on you - so it's no commentary on you. The lucky thing is that it's going to be WAY less than if you were to act this way in a bar or club. So if you get one or two downers, you'll be fine. Most of your day will be EPIC.
Kino is much more acceptable here. You're in such close quarters with people. After opening, exchange bracelets. If you've already opened them, and a song is playing that everyone likes, put your arm around them. If kino's going well - well, you're on a massive dance floor - DANCE WITH HER!
I'll probably add more as they come to mind. But overall it was a very good night - several numbers, couple makeouts, lots of positive energy, and (most importantly, I think), a rejuvenated sense of confidence and desire to keep gaming. Keep at it y'all!
there doesn't seem to be anything here
