ok,so I usually hardly ever post on here,I just browse the threads and try to absorb the helpful information that people post but something drastic happened today and I just felt the need to share.

so today there was a party hosted by our university where teams made foods from thier countries and thus we had an international food day celebration. I wanted to go with my friends,but my friends just stay indoors and watch netflix and no matter how many different events I try to make them go to,they always make some excuse and a lot of the times I've bailed on my plans because going alone to me sounded pathetic but I just could hardly give a fuck today and just left. I arrived 5 minutes after the event had officially started,there were only few people there and there were all standing with the friends that they came to the event with,I opened everyone,guys and girls,big smile,firm handshake and just general chit chat. as the party went on I made really good connection with 1 girl but her unattractive friend kept taking her away from me. After that I opened a set of 3,2 korean girls and 1 korean guy who I presumed was one of thier boyfriends but was actually really shy and could hardly muster to say anything.Anyways I noticed that my voice is just useless in a club setting,where we were with the music in the background.It's bizzare but I can hear lots of other guys just fine and yet I have to shout to say a simple hi,and it sounds awful so I asked them to go hang out outside and we chatted there. Also I chatted upto a japanese girl but she had to study for an exam tomorrow so i was only only able to talk for 10 minutes

Anyways,I managed to set up 3 dates for me next week..I'm still sitting here,like me??? I didn't want to escalate too much because they were from asian countries where this stuff may be a bit more inappropiate...or perhaps I was just making excuses to not put myself on the line.

also when I returned home,I sent a message to the the girl in the 3 korean set,asking what time she to hang out next week and she replied "with the other koreans too?" does anyone have any tips on how to navigate a text like this. I just replied with "it depends on if they would be interested or not" and then followed up with more banter...in hindsight it sounds like I'm trying to be friends with her doesn't it.

Anyways I just wanted to post this before i go to bed..not sure if this is the right format for writing this.But any tips,critiques,or advice would be appreciated.
