Find cool things to do on the weekends and invite people to them. Don't be too focused on any one girl, but if you see one you like here's the frame you use: invite her into your fun world. Don't beg her to fulfill a hole in your life

Step 2. Drop your standards a little and keep is casual. You're in an 18 year slump and you need some slump busting.

Your self-esteem issues seem to be a serious root problem. If you don't tackle that, nothing any pickup artist tells you will convince you're worth it. Anything you hear you can counter with "well it won't work for me."

This is a hard thing to give advice for because I don't know you. Make friends who like you, male and female. Try to be social with people in your classes off the bat, because it only gets harder to engage with people the further into the class you are.

If you really have no chance of letting up on yourself, see someone who can help you. If your self-esteem issues are impeding your ability to be happy (which it's apparent they are), then you might need outside help.

Or, if you have a lot of spare cash, it seems like a great thing for you would be to go to an infield pickup thing with a real pickup artist. There's tours of cities and week-long courses where pickup artists will teach you how to approach women and will take you infield and coach you on what you're doing right/wrong. Within a week you'd be on your way, but these these carry hefty pricetags of several hundred dollars or more.
