Advice for car ride conversation

If your looking for material to talk about just to get conversation flowing. Think about what you would talk about with your friend on the way there. Simple conversation about ur day or what just happened to you or life. You can also ask for random story's that relate to the situation or conversation you just had. It's easier to start your self with : I remember when x happened. If she has good conversation skills she will ask questions or have a follow up story.

Don't interview her on the car ride. Boring shit like... So what do you do, where did you grow up, blah blah blah. Engage her, offer insight, if you ask her what she does follow up with so why did you pick that field? Do you like helping people or were you good at math? Find an emotional connection not just a boring interview. Engage her, challenge her, don't be afraid to give your opinion and don't be afraid to follow up a question to her with an insight to you. No one likes boring, even if you challenge her more than she'd like, she can atleast say the date wasn't boring.

In the beginning of the car ride joke with her, say to her, hey so I purposely picked a restaurant 30 minutes away to challenge you if you could carry on a conversation with someone you just met, I hope you studied ;-) this is funny and lighthearted, takes some of the awkwardness away, laughter always does.
