So I'm visiting Sweden for a couple of months, I have use tinder, and have met some locals in person.

I have had more success with the persons that I have met in person, it's easier for me to interact with people in person because they can see when I'm joking, or I can see when something is bothering them.

However texting... texting is not my thing. I usually try to make jokes and end up showing as "too direct", which I think is a huge problem, yes I want to make the other person think that I am looking for something else but once I say something that shows that it's like they don't like it.

Is there anyway to do this kind of things texting, or should I always do this in person?

I know that you guys say something along the lines of text just to get a date, but if for example the girl is busy right now and said "I can't now I'm in exams, but in two weeks I'm all free" should I continue getting to know her with the possibility of getting friendzoned, or should I be direct in my intentions?
