Hi,

I'm having this issue where I talk to girls at my college, but I'm having a hard time being myself. For example, when we're in the cafeteria, it's very loud and echo-y so it's easy for others around us to hear what we're saying.

I wanted to give some reasons as to why this may be happeninng. When I was in highschool, I was bullied severely because of my looks and such. Whenever I would talk to girls, the bullies would watch and laugh, and people in general would stare and think "haha, that loser is talking to girls for the first time." This is a big reason why I didn't have much experience with women in highschool, it's because people would shame me for even trying to be good with girls.

Even when I'm at college, I fear that other people are going "hey look, that kid is trying so hard to be PUA" or "that guy is trying so hard to hit on that girl." I feel like people look at me funny when they see me with girls. It's as if it's socially unacceptable for someone like me to be talking to women.

How do I get rid of this bitchy mentality? What can I do about this? I need some insight.

Also, how can I physically come off as someone who doesn't look like he's trying to hard to hit on girls. Like, in terms of body language. I know all this sounds pathetic, but I've always had low confidence. I'm doing my best to improve. I'm 22, so I'm a VERY LATE bloomer when it comes to being social/ trying to talk to women. Any help would be appreciated really
