So a year or so ago I knew this girl but was friendzoned.. no contact for a year and she text me out of the blue. btw jackaroo was her friendzoney nickname for me.

Her: Jackaroo!! me: so thats the best you can come up with for naming our kid? (11 days later- i forgot to reply) her: funny one. but nah i called him roodles. (next day) her: the next is to be astrowhopper me: first things first.... you cant name a baby you havent attempted yet (2 days later)

She hasn't responded to the last text. Some PUA suggested using the text to sexualize the conversation. Now, I do want to meet her (none of this 'forget her- plenty of girls' etc etc), but she may be in a different country so a chat would be good. i can wait for her to reply a few more days but i dont want the convo to die already.

How can I recover? or at least.. what can i do/say to get back to a conversation with her so i can arrange a meetup

This right here is your problem. If you want to talk to her, talk to her. You don't need anyone's goddamn permission to do so. Get some fire in your belly!

Stop asking yourself "Is this okay?" and start asking "How do I do this most effectively?"

My advice:

Wait a little bit. If she gets back to you, awesome. If not give it some time and then initiate again, this time keep it simple.

Take it slow from there. Organize a casual meet up. Be polite, joke around with her, reminisce about old times. Feel the situation out.

If things are going well, then you can start steering the conversation in a sexual way, engaging in kino, etc, etc.

What /u/mconfounded said was right, you can't just jump into a sexual conversation with someone that you haven't talked with in a long time. It's jarring.

Lastly

don't ignore good advice just because you don't like it. If she is in another country or flakes on you, don't continue pursuing a dead end relationship. Move on, talk to other people.

It's a harsh truth that we've all had to deal with at one point or another, but learn to recognize when a relationship is never going to progress past friendship. Cherish whatever time you had together, be happy with your friendship, and use it as a learning opportunity for the 10 that's waiting around the corner.
