Friendzone is just a politically correct way of saying rejected.

Girls just don't outright reject, because they think it would be harsh. They'd just tell a petty white lie like "I think you're a nice person. But I just see you only as a friend".

You cannot even be friends after such a thing has been said. You shouldn't even say her hello. Because any attempt at communicating with her any further would be understood as desparation, or in further cases harrasment (which will end you up in the can)

And you have no rights to feel bad because of it. /r/niceguys is full of guys who do one of the most common mistakes men do, getting butthurt because of a single fucking rejection.

Be a man, respect her decision and don't feel sad because someone you barely even know didn't want to date with you.

I actually agree with this. Plenty of other girls out there man. But there's no harm in shooting out a text. Just don't put all your eggs in that basket though.

As for what to text, this one has worked for me and some friends to rekindle after rejection sometimes:

The mindset: she knows she rejected you. You know she rejected you. This is the pink elephant in the room, which can actually be used to your advantage...

YOU: Hey, I need to talk to you about something...

HER: Hey, whats up??

YOU: I've been meaning to say this for a long time, I'm just not sure if I should...

HER: [catching on] lol maybe you shouldn't then...

YOU: I just don't know if I can hold it back anymore, I need to ask you this. I'm sorry if it causes you trouble..

HER: [Bracing for it] CrotchFungus...

YOU: KFC or MacDonalds?

YOU: Hurry up, I'm starving.

HER: LOL!

HER: MacDonalds all the way!

YOU: Ok. Get dressed. I'll be there at 7:02 sharp.

HER: Whaaat??

YOU: Dammit woman, don't make me repeat myself!

HER: Blah Blah Blah

Even if she doesn't agree to go, it's a cool way to set up for asking her out in the future. Most guys would avoid the rejection topic, but here you're taking it head on and owning it by making fun of it. As I've said, it's worked for me before but you need to keep up the playful personality on the date.
