I don't use kik but apparently the grey D means it was delivered but not read yet. You gotta be careful with text/social media stuff, it's really easy to come off as needy - which is probably what she felt when you tried so hard to contact her & confirm her number. This is why I go hardcore trying to connect and build value in person. Some guys are good at text game but I see alot of newbies try and get a number, eject, and rely on texting. May as well stick to Tinder imo...
