Let me say this about NoFap: What you get from it is what you get from it, but why you do it is up to you.

The reasons you decide to partake in NoFap are on you. If you feel like fapping is upsetting you, for whatever reason, that's a reason. If you feel like not fapping will in some way push you to talk to girls, that's a reason. Hell, if you simply say to yourself "How long can I go without fapping," that's a reason. However, there's no real way for any of us to tell you what you'll get out of it. Plus, I'd argue that abstaining from fapping because you think fapping is bad and you're bad for doing it isn't the healthiest mentality, but alas.

I'm of the belief that a large chunk of the positive feedback people feel from doing NoFap comes from them having set a personal challenge for themselves and then completing it. No matter who you are, completing a personal challenge you've set for yourself is incredibly satisfying and makes you feel more fulfilled and satisfied as a person, leading to more inner confidence. In your case, not knowing if the effects will be positive or negative is a reason to try it if you feel compelled. There's no harm in trying and finding out for yourself. And if you feel yourself having more energy, find something productive to do with it.
