Went out to the club last night and it was great because I was meeting with friends and people I hadn't seen in many months so overall I was in a very happy and sociable mood. I was feeling very confident as a result. I was dancing with everyone, talking to loads of people and just having a great time.

Then comes this really pretty girl - she had brown hair and was wearing a white dress. She was dancing by herself so I danced up to her and we immediately made eye contact and she smiled. We danced for ages and I did all the escalation I could. We were holding each other very close - she was feeling me up on my ass and my crotch so I was fairly confident where this night was going to end up.

The strange thing was that, even though she was clearly interested, we would get close enough for the make out but she would just lean her head back as if trying to be a tease. This happened quite a bit but I didn't think much of it as I still gave her kisses on her neck and cheek and we were dancing and grinding super close.

We would dance for a bit and then sit and chill for a bit and her friend would come by every so often with a guy. Eventually the three of us (me holding my girl's hand) went up to the front of the dance floor where the DJ was playing and her friend was so drunk she climbed over the edge of the podium up to where the DJ was playing (this area is off limits in the club).

This led to her having to be escorted out by the bouncers - me and my girl went with them and when we got outside she said to me 'yeah i have to take her home, have a good night'. I asked to exchange numbers but she wasn't interested. She left and I went back inside to meet up with my friends.

Obviously I was quite disappointed and I'm trying to figure out if there was anything I could have done differently. This is a learning process after all but at the moment I'm not too bothered as what's done is done. There are many other good things in my life that I'm focusing on as well so I'm maintaining as much of a positive outlook as I can.

Any advice as to what I could or should have done and/or how to improve for next time?

TL;DR Met this girl at a club, we danced a lot and got super close - we were grinding and we felt each other up. Her friend ended up being so drunk that the bouncers had to escort her out and when I left with them my girl said to me 'I have to take her home, have a good night' and left
