What worked for me was actually going ahead and learning how to dance a little. Nothing crazy, but just the basics like how to move your arms and body to the beat. That way when I did finally hit the dance floor I had more confidence being that I had 'prepared' somewhat.

I was actually just like you up until my friends and I went to a club 2 weeks ago and it came to a point where I was sitting by myself having an awful time when I was like "fuck it I'm embarrassing myself idc". I just went up and started doing some weird ass shit but then after like 20 minutes of awkward fest I really opened up and it was one of the best nights of my life.

You'll never get over it until the first time you do it. No need to jump in the middle and freak everyone out. Just be yourself and start off with a small bounce and take it from there.

You need to realize that no one is really watching you that much, I used to be the same way but eventually I just started doing it I got into it and now I think dancing at concerts and clubs is the funnest thing ever. Or you could just do Molly once and that'll change you. Also don't worry about dancing good or bad, if you're having fun no one will notice.

Honestly, you just have to do it. I got more comfortable with it only recently and now I enjoy doing it. You just have to get up and move and eventually you'll get it.

Can you dance normally? I'm confident but way too white to dance unless I'm drunk. Not everyone naturally dances. If you were the only sober one I would beat my self up if I were you.

I'm not saying you can't learnt to dance sober but just saying
