Anybody know how to deal with unresponsive girls

I could be that she's shy. I'm cold towards people(particularly guys) at first but warm up the more I talk/spend time with them.

I met her today and I said hi! I'm Mobpsycho300, she just replied "hi..." I said how are you? Again she was a dud, "good..." I just walked away after that. I could do nothing. How do I get past this sticking point?

When you approach a girl, it's your responsibility to keep the conversation going, at first. You basically said to her "how are you" and expected her to open up and confess her love to you. That's not how it works.

This is easier than a lot of approaches because you already have a connection with her so you have something to talk about, that she presumably cares about. Examples:

You: Hi, I'm Mobpsycho300, I work with your dad.

Her: Hi....

You: Your dad is pretty fun to work with. What's it like to have him as your dad.

These are topics that most people would want to talk about (their dad, etc...). If she is STILL unresponsive after all that, then yeah, she really doesn't want to talk to you. And of course this conversation fails if she absolutely hates her dad. But you never gave her a shot.
