I'm currently entering a relationship, and it was almost derailed because I compulsively lied. Pretty soon my lies were catching up with me and I couldn't keep up.

This woman invites me over all the time. I figured I had to make excuses not to see her. But she called me out on my shit and I almost completely lost her trust. Fortunately she was forgiving and we talked it out. When I told her the truth that I felt we were moving too fast, she accepted that.

Lesson learned: Don't lie, just tell the truth. Channel your emotions, and bring forth the honest answer.
