How should I handle separating a girl from her friend at the end of the night when the club is closing and we are waiting outside?

If the girl wanted to be alone with you/ go back to your place she would.

I'm a girl and if we want to go back to yours we'd let our friend know and they'd leave no questions asked.

She's cockblocking bc the girl you're trying to take home wants her to do that.

So more often than not the friend is the get out of jail free card for her. She used you for drinks and attention and then when the night is over she tells her friend to make sure she doesn't go home with you.

If the girl wants to go home with you she will. She doesn't need her friends permission.

One way is to win her over throughout the night so she doesn't use the friend excuse. Another is to give her a hard time about being an adult with things like "is she your babysitter tonight?" Or "do you always listen Debbie downer over there?"

Make her seem like your the better option not her friend.
