So I have no trouble approaching girls I don't know, but when it comes to my interactions with them, I feel like I keep them too short. A quick exchange of introductions, tell them my intent ("I saw you over there, thought you were cute"), and ask for her number and a coffee date. I am not the friendliest guy, tbh. I have trouble smiling when needed, and most of the times, I come off as too serious instead of playful or fun. I have had many occasions where girls would feel flattered by my approach, but also others who encouraged me in an almost patronizing, pitiful way that "you'll find someone if you keep trying"---I don't know, maybe that's because of how people mostly think I'm younger than I look, but I digress.
I really don't have that much anxiety these days, but I feel that the originality is not there---I give off a very monotonous tone, like a sales pitch, and at times I can tell that the way I said it doesn't leave much of an impact on them, and perhaps that's why I'm not getting enough text backs or dates. Or perhaps there's some kind of neediness that arises when just going around talking to as many attractive girls as you, and each one less invested, and they can maybe see right through that. I'm not really sure, but I do need help with this.
