If you are wearing strange clothes or have a orange fake tan on your face than they might look at you a bit strange. lol Assuming that's not the case, IT's DEFINATELY AN APPROACH INVITATION. go talk to them you'll get a warm welcome.

Is it a psychology issue or a strategy issue? Meaning do you not know how to approach girls in group (like process/method for it) or is it an approach anxiety issue?

It isn’t creepy at all. On the contrary it shows you have balls/confidence. And women love that. But you have to do it in a socially intelligent way. Now forget about the “entertaining the group approach” that tells you to open the whole group and entertain the group. That’s just some PUA BS. Especially not in the daytime. If you see a girl in a group and especially if she gave you a conversation invitation like you told in your initial post. Just go up to her and say “Excuse, I’d like to tell you something quickly. Then immediately turn to the group and say “It’ll just take a minute.” This shows you are social intelligent to the group. Next she’ll usually step out of the group and then you give her a low investment compliment. “I just saw you from over there and think you have a nice… energy. And I wanted to come and say hi. So hi.” Next have a short 2 minute conversation, get her number and leave that’s it. it’s not creepy. It’s direct and authentic. Plus it shows you have GIANT BALLS and you did it in a socially intelligent way. Hope it helps.

What you mean, it doesnt show intent?

You are in college, for crying out loud, just socialise already...
Forget about intent, intent is for later. Intent is for when you are with the girl, one on one, not when you are in a group setting. You have to isolate her first or you’ll make a show for the group. You don’t want to entertain the group, do you?

Always take it as a sign to approach. Because why not. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. even if its just an experience.

Is that a good sign to approach?
Assume everything is a sign to approach.
