A good motto would be:

"No one gives a shit about your problems, your insecurities or your feelings. Everyone's got their own fair share of that. And everyone thinks that the world revolves around them. No one gives a shit simply put.

We're all self absorbed and selfish.

We're all insecure one way or another.

My name's Blurryface and I care what you think.

That's actually very appropriate.

We give a shit about what people think. But to those people we're a smudge and a blur in their lives IF EVEN THAT.

Just y'know... think of when a person looks at you for whatever reason, just briefly, y'know a passing glance. When you're on the bus or something. Do you start thinking "Is there something on my face? Do I look weird"?

Now think that every time you do that to someone else, you spark those same exact thoughts.

You made someone feel awkward and insecure because you glanced at 'em for a second.

Just think they're checking you out. Whoever the fuck it is.

Grandma? Hell she's checking you out and wishing she were younger. Ugly, fat chick? She's wishing she were in your league. A dude? Hell, he's either gay and wants a piece or he feels inferior to you. It don't matter who it is.

I'm not saying become a narcissistic, self absorbed cunt. I'll tell you right now, it has some disadvantages.

I'm saying, start viewing attention from other people towards yourself as positive. Start defaulting to that.

And reinforce positive views of yourself.

I look in the mirror every day and I go "goddamn I'm sexy."

When I'm changing into my work clothes, I'm checking myself out in the mirror. Flexing, feeling myself up. Yeah pretty narcissistic.

I really like my facial features, I really think they're unique in a very good way, I like my style and so on. Only thing missing is a more pleasant demeanor. But hey... that can be arranged.

But then I have days where I think I'm too out of the ordinary no matter how good looking I feel. I don't feel good looking to other people.

But how many people feel that way?

How many different brands of insecurity are there? Tons! People get insecure over the dumbest shit sometimes.

Hell, even when if we pay attention, we can clearly see all the positive signals and messages we receive.

And let's be real, we're all attention whores.

What kind of delusional chode doesn't like to get checked out by a pretty girl?

Don't live on positive feedback but don't disregard it either.

I'm looking back right now and appearance wise? I get compliments, I get checked out, I get glances, I get some curious and even perverted stares. Why the fuck am I insecure? Why do I have this retarded notion of "I'm too different" sometimes?

I'm no longer the long haired dude with knee high gothic combat boots and black nail polish. I do still have the combat boots but I'd rather look sexy as fuck than to look scary and weird as fuck.

I'm more hardcore and badass now than then. Except I'm sexier by a country mile.

I'm deeply sorry for my tirade, it just started to flow and I figured, why not?

This is a general post anyway so I don't think my post is too bad.

Basically your insecurities only matter to one person and that is you.

You build more shit in your head than anyone else.

You damage yourself more than anyone else.

Seriously. Truer words could have never been spoken. My experience is even the hottest women have insecurities sometimes. Hotter women often have more insecurities. They might be able to cover it better because they're playing their looks card but you are absolutely correct though. Get over it. Stand tall be proud and quit thinking every girl you walk up to is going to run you into the ground. Be a human being about it.
